RUSH explores issues of street crime, gangs and choice. It presents scenes of dilemma, choice and conflict, challenging the audience to interact with the characters. The audience crack open and re-examine each offence, debate the causal factors and explore the consequences. Each performance & workshop provides opportunities for group members to replace actors themselves or to create additional characters and scenes, incorporating them into the original story. This piece has already engaged many different young people in YOT groups, youth clubs and school settings, stimulating creative discussion and debate about their own lives, communities & offending behaviour.
